التقسيم هو شيء يفصل مكانًا إلى أجزاء منفصلة، مثل جدار أو حاجز. يمكن أن يعني أيضًا عملية تقسيم شيء إلى أقسام.

كلمة 'partition' رسمية، وتستخدم لحواجز الأماكن ('office partition')، الأحداث التاريخية ('partition of India') أو الحاسوب ('partition' للقرص الصلب). لا تستعمل لتقسيم طعام أو أشياء صغيرة. عبارات شائعة: 'room partition', 'disk partition'.
