用槳划船或推動水中的物體，通常用手操作。是“paddle”的過去式。

通常用於形容用短槳劃小船（如獨木舟、皮划艇）。常和“boat”、“canoe”、“raft”等詞搭配。與“rowed”不同（用長槳，動作不同）。英式英文可指孩子在水邊踩水玩，美式較少用此意思。
