Definition

“pacer” 是指在比賽中為他人設定速度的人或動物，協助他人保持穩定速度。在某些運動中，pacer 幫助選手達成目標時間。

多用於田徑、馬拉松及自行車賽事。“pacer” 和“pacemaker”（心律調節器）不同；偶爾也指因焦慮來回踱步的人（較少見）。常見搭配：'比賽領跑員'、'官方配速員'。
