空一面が雲に覆われ、太陽の光がほとんど届かず、灰色のように見える状態。

天気予報や日常会話でよく使う表現。「曇り空」は空全体が雲に覆われている場合に使う。雨や嵐ではなく、全体が明るい灰色のときに使う。
