誰かや何かを身体的または感情的に感じなくさせること。感覚や感情を鈍らせる働きがある。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
寒さや薬で体の一部がしびれる場合も、感情を鈍らせる場合も使われます。「numbs the pain」は痛みを感じにくくするという意味です。
