Definition

規範とは、社会や集団、状況の中で人々が一般的に従うべきとされる、通常の行動ややり方の基準のことです。

主に学術・社会学・文化的な場面で使われます。「social norms（社会的規範）」「cultural norms（文化的規範）」などの表現あり。法律と混同しないよう注意。

Different countries have different norms about greetings.

国によって挨拶の**規範**が異なります。
