Newton, Uluslararası Birim Sistemi'nde (SI) kuvvet ölçüm birimidir. Bir newton, bir kilogram kütleyi saniyede bir metre kare hızlandırmak için gereken kuvvettir.

'Newton' yalnızca kuvvet birimi olarak kullanılır ve küçük harfle yazılır. 'Isaac Newton' isimli şahıstan farklıdır. Fizik ve mühendislikte yaygındır.
