Definition

एक मिथकीय या कल्पित अधोलोक, जिसे अक्सर आत्माओं या मृतकों का स्थान माना जाता है। कभी-कभी यह छुपे हुए या आपराधिक समाज को भी दर्शाता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

मुख्य रूप से कल्पना, पौराणिक कथाओं या साहित्य में मृतकों के अधोलोक के लिए प्रयोग होता है। कभी-कभी अपराध जगत के लिए भी रूपक में प्रयोग किया जाता है। रोजमर्रा की बातचीत में कम प्रयोग होता है, अधिकतर औपचारिक या साहित्यिक है।
