"Nays" औपचारिक शब्द है और मुख्यतः मतदान या सरकारी बैठकों में इस्तेमाल होता है। यह "ayes" (समर्थन में वोट) का विपरीत है। रोज़मर्रा की बातचीत में "no votes" या "against" कह सकते हैं।
