由普通人組成、像士兵一樣組織起來的團體，通常為了保護社區或參與衝突，並不是正式軍隊的一部分。

Usage Notes (Chinese (Traditional))

“militias” 通常用複數，泛指不是正式國軍、但組織嚴密的武裝團體。既有合法社區自衛，也有非法或叛亂武裝。不要與“army”（國家軍隊）混淆。常見於新聞及歷史語境。
