تعبير غير رسمي غالبًا ما يُستخدم للتحذير أو المزاح. مثل عبارة 'Don't mess with me' (تحذير) أو 'mess with something' (تدخّل أو عبث). غالبًا لا يعني عنف جسدي بل إزعاج أو تدخل أو مزحة.
