何かや誰かの見た目やスタイルを変えること、主に良くするために行います。また、財産などの権利を他人に正式に譲ることも意味します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

見た目を良くする時（例：イメチェン）、部屋の改装、または財産の譲渡にも使います。外見の意味はカジュアル、譲渡の意味はフォーマルな場面で使われます。'makeup'（化粧）とは意味が違うので注意。
