Definition
গাছের অপ্রয়োজনীয় ডাল বা অংশ কাটা বা ছেঁটে ফেলার কাজ বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

সবচেয়ে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয় বাগান বা বন ব্যবস্থাপনায়। 'He lops the branches' মানে নির্দিষ্ট ডাল কাটা; 'lop off' সাধারণ কোনো কিছু কাটা বোঝায়।
