눈이나 시선을 어떤 방향이나 사람에게 돌리다. 또는 미래를 기대하거나 희망할 때도 쓴다.

실제 방향을 바라볼 때와, 미래에 대한 희망이나 계획을 표현할 때 모두 쓸 수 있다. 'look toward the future'처럼 사용. 주로 명사나 시기와 같이 쓰임.
