Definition

সাধারণত, 'little hand' বলতে এনালগ ঘড়ির ছোট কাঁটা (ঘণ্টার কাঁটা) বোঝায়। কম ব্যবহৃত অর্থ হলো ছোট হাত, বিশেষত শিশুর হাত।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'Little hand' সাধারণত শিশুদের ঘড়ি পড়ানো শেখাতে ব্যবহার হয় ('the little hand points to…')। ছোট হাত বোঝাতে বিরল। ঘড়ি প্রসঙ্গে 'big hand'-এর সঙ্গে উচ্চারিত হয়। 'short hand' বলা হয় না।

Examples

The little hand is on the 5, so it is five o'clock.

**ঘড়ির ছোট কাঁটা** ৫-এ আছে, তাই এখন পাঁচটা।

Move the little hand to show three o'clock.
