Definition

請人轉告信息給他人，或為不在場的人留下留言。

稍微正式，多用於工作、飯店或一時找不到某人的場合。現在常說“留言”。常見用法有“留話給某人”。多指口頭訊息，少用於書面便條。

If you can't reach him, please leave word with the secretary.

如果你聯絡不到他，請**留話**給秘書。
