Definition

কারও ওপর সম্পূর্ণ দায় বা দোষ চাপিয়ে দিয়ে বাকিরা পালিয়ে যাওয়া বা দায়িত্ব এড়িয়ে যাওয়া; সাধারণত কেউ ফাঁকি দেয় বা ফাঁকি দেয়ার অনুভূতি থাকে।

অফিস বা গ্রুপের কাজে এই বাক্যাংশটি ব্যবহৃত হয়, যখন কেউ অন্যদের সমস্যার মধ্যে ফেলে পালিয়ে যায়। 'leave someone holding the bag' বলার সময় সব সময় রূপক অর্থে ব্যবহৃত হয়, কখনও সত্যিকারের ব্যাগ ধারণ করা নয়।
