Definition

중요한 일이 일어나기 전 점차적으로 준비되거나 이어지는 상황이나 행동을 나타낸다.

주로 'the events that led up to...' 또는 'in the days/weeks leading up to...' 표현에서 사용됨. 단순히 '이끌다'의 의미와 다르니 구분해야 함.

The weeks that led up to the final exam were stressful.

기말고사로 **이어진** 몇 주는 매우 스트레스가 많았다.

Many small problems led up to the big argument.

많은 사소한 문제들이 큰 다툼으로 **이어졌다**.
