「lapped」は、動物が舌で液体をなめて飲むことや、レースで相手を一周差で追い越すことを表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

動物が水やミルクを舐めて飲むときに使う。「レースで一周抜く」という意味もあり。他の「ひざの上（lap）」とは別の単語なので注意。
