通过重击使某人失去意识，常见于拳击等运动；也可以指让某人非常疲惫，或淘汰某人或某物出局。

多用于口语，在拳击等体育运动中常见（如'knock out对手'）。也可引申为药物让人很困（That medicine knocked me out），或淘汰出局（They got knocked out）。不要与knock on（敲门）混淆。
