거의 항상 비유적으로 쓰이며 실제 신체적 행동을 뜻하지 않습니다. 누군가를 다그치거나 더 괴롭히지 말자는 의미로 'don't kick someone when they're down'과 같이 조언에도 자주 씁니다.
