Evitar o impedir que tú u otra persona haga algo, especialmente cuando es difícil resistirse o evitarlo.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se usa mayormente de forma informal y suele ir seguido de un gerundio en inglés ('keep from laughing'). Implica un esfuerzo por resistir una tentación o impulso. Es común encontrarlo en situaciones negativas (can't keep from...). No es igual que 'stop'.
