도시나 중요한 곳에서 매우 멀리 떨어진 시골이나 외진 곳을 아주 비공식적으로 표현하는 말입니다.

매우 비격식적이고 주로 구어체에서 사용합니다. 'in the sticks'나 'out in the middle of nowhere'와 비슷한 뉘앙스. 완전한 산속이 아니라 사람이 사는 멀리 떨어진 곳에 쓰입니다.
