誰かがとても不安だったり、感情的になっている様子を表します。他の人から見て明らかなほど取り乱している時によく使われます。

カジュアルな会話でよく使います。明らかに動揺したりパニック状態の人によく使われます。「in a state of shock」や「in an anxious state」のように内容を細かく説明することもあります。
