レースや競争で、2人や2チームが全く同じ成績で並ぶことを指します。勝者がはっきりしない状態です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にレースやスポーツ、選挙などの正式な競争で使います。「引き分け」よりややフォーマル。「チェス」や日常的な言い合いには使いません。
