ある話題について長々と話すこと。しばしば自分の意見を強く主張しながら話し続けるニュアンスがあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に半形式的・形式的な文脈で使われ、長々と独占的に話す、やや否定的なニュアンスを持つ。後ろに 'about/on' が続くことが多い。気軽な会話には使わない。
