일시 정지하다

Definition

활동, 영상, 대화를 잠시 멈추거나 쉬는 것. 실제로 일시 정지 버튼을 누를 때나 잠깐 쉴 때 사용함.

비공식적 대화에서 주로 사용되고, 'Let's'와 함께 쉬자는 제안에 자주 쓰임. 공식 문서에는 적합하지 않음.

Let’s hit pause and get some coffee.

**잠깐 일시 정지하고**, 커피 마시자.

Can you hit pause on the movie?

영화 **일시 정지** 좀 해줄 수 있어?

She decided to hit pause on her studies for a year.
