Usage Notes (Hindi)

अनौपचारिक है, खासकर जब कीमतें अचानक और बहुत बढ़ाई जाती हैं या कोई कपड़ा/बैग ऊपर खींचा जाता है। 'Hike up prices' में अक्सर अनुचित बढ़ोतरी का भाव होता है। कपड़ों के लिए अक्सर 'hike up your pants'। यह ट्रैकिंग (पहाड़ पर चलना) के लिए नहीं है।
