هو الماضي من 'hide'، ويعني وضع شخص أو شيء في مكان لا يمكن رؤيته أو العثور عليه فيه.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تُستخدم 'hid' في الماضي البسيط مثل: 'She hid the key.' أما اسم المفعول فهو 'hidden' وليس 'hid'، لذلك نقول: 'The key was hidden'. وتأتي كثيرًا مع تراكيب مثل 'hide from' و'hide behind' و'hide under'، ومع كلمات مثل 'key' و'money' و'truth'.
