Hemotoraks, genellikle travmaya bağlı olarak, akciğerler ve göğüs duvarı arasındaki plevral boşlukta kan birikmesidir.

'Hemotoraks' çoğunlukla tıbbi ortamlarda kullanılır ve sadece kan birikmesini ifade eder. Diğer sıvıların (plevral efüzyon) birikmesiyle karıştırılmamalıdır.
