ধনী বা ক্ষমতাশালী ব্যক্তিদের বোঝানো হয়, যারা সমাজে সম্পদ বা ক্ষমতার অধিকারী।

'the haves and the have-nots' বলতে সমাজের বৈষম্য বোঝায়। একমাত্র বহুবচন অর্থে ও আলোচনা বা সামাজিক মন্তব্যে বেশি ব্যবহৃত হয়।
