कार में मौजूद एक लीवर जिसे खींचकर पार्किंग के वक्त गाड़ी को रोककर रखा जाता है; इसे पार्किंग ब्रेक भी कहते हैं।

'Handbrake' शब्द ब्रिटिश अंग्रेज़ी में आम है; अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में 'parking brake' ज्यादा सुना जाता है। 'Handbrake' वो मैनुअल लीवर है जो ज्यादातर आगे की सीटों के बीच होता है। इसे आम ब्रेक (foot brake) से न मिलाएं। आम उपयोग: 'pull the handbrake', 'release the handbrake'।
