시골에 위치한 매우 작은 마을로, 마을이나 도시보다 규모가 작다.

'Hamlet'은 지리, 역사, 문학에서 많이 쓰이며, 일상 대화에서는 거의 사용하지 않음. 'Village'(마을)보다 규모가 작음.

The villagers live in a peaceful hamlet near the river.

마을 사람들은 강가 근처의 평화로운 **작은 마을**에 산다.
