주로 일상 대화에서 사용하며, 심각한 불평보다는 가볍게 계속 불만을 표현할 때 쓴다. 'grousing about～'처럼 어떤 주제에 대해 투덜거릴 때 잘 쓰인다. 공식적인 상황에서는 잘 쓰이지 않는다.
