"ground rule" in Korean

모임, 활동, 상황에서 모두가 따라야 하는 가장 기본적이고 필수적인 규칙이나 지침. 공정하고 원활한 진행을 위해 시작할 때 정해진다.

여러 규칙에 대해 말할 때 'ground rules'라고 복수형으로 자주 쓴다. 회의, 수업, 스포츠, 모임 등에서 많이 쓰이며, 구체적인 절차가 아니라 반드시 지켜야 할 기대를 나타낸다. 법이나 공식 정책과는 다르다.
