Definition

表面にある細長い溝や切れ込みのこと。また、音楽では繰り返しのリズムやノリも指します。

『grooves』は物の溝（レコードやタイヤなど）に使います。音楽では魅力的なリズムやグルーヴ感を指します。「in the groove」は絶好調という意味です。『grove』（木立ち）とは違うので注意。

The record has many grooves on its surface.
