Bir şey için şu anda piyasada kabul gören, genellikle istenen ortalama fiyat veya ücret.

Günlük konuşmada, özellikle iş ve fiyat karşılaştırmalarında kullanılır. Çoğunlukla 'the going rate' şeklinde geçer, sabit fiyat değildir. 'faiz oranı' ile karıştırılmamalı.
