Definition

কাউকে অফিসিয়ালি তার চাকরি থেকে বের করে দেওয়া, অর্থাৎ তাকে ছাঁটাই বা বরখাস্ত করা।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

অনানুষ্ঠানিক ব্রিটিশ ইংরেজি; 'fire' বা 'let go' এর চেয়ে অনেকটা নরম। নিয়োগকর্তা কর্মচারীকে ছাঁটাই করলে এই শব্দগুচ্ছ ব্যবহৃত হয়, স্বেচ্ছায় ছাড়ার জন্য নয়।
