木や植物のすべての葉をまとめて指す言葉です。枝に生い茂っている葉っぱの集まりのことです。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
園芸や自然の描写などフォーマルな場面で使います。葉のみを指し、花や枝、幹は含みません。例：『青々とした foliage』『秋の foliage』など。
