Marcharse de repente volando, o que algo sea llevado por el aire. También puede significar irse rápidamente o con emoción.
Usage Notes (Spanish)
Se utiliza con frecuencia para aves o insectos, como también para objetos que se llevan el viento ('The hat flew off'). Informalmente, describe a alguien que se va rápidamente, sobre todo por enojo o emoción ('He flew off in a rage'). No confundir con 'take off' (empezar a volar), ya que 'fly off' resalta el movimiento repentino lejos.
