Definition

すばやく軽やかに場所から場所へ移動すること。鳥や蝶のようにひらひらと動く様子。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に鳥や蝶、人が軽やかに動く様子に使われます。文学的・詩的な表現で、日常会話ではあまり人に対して使いません。「flit about」や「flit between」のようにも用います。
