Definition

영상이나 소리, 빛 등이 천천히 드러나거나 선명해지는 것. 주로 영화나 무대에서 사용함.

주로 영화, 공연, 음악 제작에서 사용. 'fade in 음악', 'fade in 장면' 등으로 쓰이며 일상에서는 거의 쓰이지 않음. 'fade out'과 반대 의미.

The movie starts with the music fading in slowly.

영화는 음악이 천천히 **점점 나타나면서** 시작된다.

The lights fade in as the curtain opens on stage.
