Definition

কিছু বা কাউকে সহজে বাদ দেওয়া বা ত্যাগ করা যায়, এবং এতে তেমন ক্ষতি হয় না। সাধারণত কোন কিছুর বিশেষ মূল্য নেই বা অপরিহার্য নয় বলে বোঝাতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

সামরিক বা ব্যবসায়িক প্রসঙ্গে 'expendable' বলতে অপ্রয়োজনীয় বা সহজে বাদ দেওয়া যায় এমন কিছু বোঝানো হয়। মানুষ সম্পর্কে বললে কঠিন বা অবমাননাকর শোনাতে পারে। 'expendable items', 'expendable resources', 'expendable employees' ইত্যাদির সাথে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'expandable' (বড় করা যায়) এর সাথে বিভ্রান্ত হবেন না।
