Definition

大切な物や責任を信頼して人に任せること。仕事や所有物などを預ける時によく使います。

'Entrusting'は「信じて任せる」ニュアンスがあり、日常会話ではあまり使われず、ややフォーマルです。「仕事を任せる」「貴重品を託す」など責任の移譲を伴います。単なる「信じる」とは違います。

I am entrusting you with my house keys.
