司会者はイベントや式典を進行し、登壇者や出演者を紹介してプログラムを円滑に進める人です。

「司会者」は結婚式や学校行事など幅広い行事で使います。音楽イベントでラップをする人も「MC」と呼びますが、日常会話では司会進行役の意味が基本です。
