A parte do telhado que se projeta sobre a parede, normalmente para afastar a água da chuva do edifício.

Geralmente utiliza-se o plural: 'eaves'. É frequente em contextos de arquitetura ou quando se fala de chuva. Não confundir com 'eve' (véspera), que não tem relação.
