Definition

跳ね橋とは、掘や川などの上に架けられ、通行を制御するために上げ下げできる橋です。特に城や港でよく見られます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に歴史的・建築的な文脈で使われ、現代の都市ではあまり見かけません。'跳ね橋を上げる'、'跳ね橋を下ろす'、'跳ね橋を渡る'などの表現と合わせて使われます。
