乗り物や船などが何かや誰かの隣にゆっくりと寄せて止まること。主にやりとりや停車のために使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

交通や船、警察などの場面でよく使われ、歩いて近づく場合には使用しません。「draw alongside the curb」「the boat drew alongside」など定型句で使われます。
