うたた寝する

Definition

短時間、浅く眠ること。たいてい無意識で、昼間などによく使う表現。

日常的な短い浅い眠りによく使います。'doze off'は「うとうとして寝てしまう」という意味です。深い眠りや正式な「仮眠」とは違います。人や動物にも使えます。

He started to doze in class because he was tired.

彼は疲れていたので授業中に**うたた寝**し始めた。

I like to doze on the sofa after lunch.

昼食後にソファで**うたた寝する**のが好きです。
