與某人共用空間（如共用牀鋪或房間）、因疼痛或大笑突然彎腰，或是做兩倍的某事。

口語。常見用法：“double up with someone”（與某人共用空間）、“double up in pain”（痛得彎腰）、“double up on homework”（加倍做作業）。不要與“double down”混淆。
